ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role will support the Survey Compliance (SC) department at RONIN. The SC department takes responsibility for the testing and translation of all market research questionnaires and other materials, transcription of interview recordings, including transcript post-editing, translation, coding of open-ended answers and code frame development.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Survey Compliance Executive is responsible for the execution of all day-to-day Survey Compliance tasks on our projects, as outlined above—which includes internal task delivery and the outsourcing of such tasks to approved vendors, depending on capacity and languages.
CORE DUTIES:
- Executing all Survey Compliance tasks, including but not limited to, link testing, questionnaire review, overlay, translation, transcription, coding, code frame development.
- Liaising with external partners responsible for the delivery and execution of Survey Compliance tasks, including language service providers, freelancers and other suppliers.
- Preparing materials to be dispatched to external suppliers, including materials for translation, recordings for transcription, data files for coding and other types of deliverables as required, confirming receipt of deliverables, checking the quality of delivered files.
- Administration of Survey Compliance suppliers, including commissioning of work, raising purchase orders, reviewing, and approving supplier invoices, as well as sharing feedback to the departmental head on supplier performance as required.
- Helping to proactively identify improvements that can be made to processes within the Survey Compliance department together with the Survey Compliance Manager.
- Developing a strong understanding of survey design across methodologies to support RONIN’s overall service offering and knowledge in that area of expertise.
- Attending KO meetings to provide estimate costs and timelines for Survey Compliance tasks, including sharing any queries relevant to the Survey Compliance departmental.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Assist in keeping departmental task trackers accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in maintaining internal databases, such as the translation database, for the good management and effective execution of Survey Compliance tasks.
- Conduct independent quality control on Survey Compliance tasks executed by other team members and logging relevant findings in provided quality control forms and documentation.
- Work closely with other RONIN internal departments, including PM, Survey Solutions, QC and fieldwork departments in the timely execution of Survey Compliance tasks.
- Become familiar with Forsta and all other software used in the performance of the role and Survey Compliance duties to be able to give advice to your team.
- Become familiar with and ensure all activities conform to applicable standards such as ISO 20252, ISO 27001, applicable codes of conduct, and applicable data protection law.
- Other duties as the need arises.
Please note that this role will be offered on an independent contractor basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own tax contributions. RONIN International is currently in the process of registering a local entity in the Philippines and opportunities to transfer to our local payroll once our registration is complete will be offered to individual contractors on that occasion.

Qualifications and Training:
Bachelor's degree in business studies or equivalent
A language degree in translations, interpretation, linguistics, literary studies, etc.
Knowledge and Skills:
Effective written and verbal communication
Working knowledge of market research methodologies
Microsoft Office skills: Internet, Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Ability to apply internal checklist and process to own work
Knowledge of English at fluent/professional level
Understanding of the relation between time, cost and quality in project management
Basic Excel knowledge and skills: can use simple functions like SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, and MAX. Apply basic formatting to cells and text, use correct cell referencing (ranges and formulas), keyboard shortcuts, and handle basic data (soft, filter, copy, cut, and paste).
Intermediate MS Word knowledge and skills: can create templates, set up page layouts, utilize SmartArt and other formatting tools, use bookmarks, and adjust documents to suit business needs.
Working knowledge and skills of internet: can perform tasks like searching online, using email, and navigating websites to verify data and finding information.
Excellent organisational skills
Experience:
Experience of fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Working in market research
Experience of working across multiple different projects applying skills consistently across the range of work
Working with data and building reports and spreadsheets
Exposure to international teams and a diverse cultural context
Transcription of audio files into English
